Village Kids At Play

After yesterday's post about the rote memorization of summer school in the home of some Hebei villagers, here is a look at another side of the daily lives of this lovely group of kids.

When the lessons and tests are done, the kids are free to spill out through the gate of the home and into the alleyway that constitutes their front yard.  It is here that they usually break into boys and girls, each group playing their own games.

With not much in the way of amenities, it is pretty much about bonding and creativity.  So maybe there is hope for the creative Chinese mind after all!
