A Few Pictures From The Back Window

So long as the power stays on...This is awesome!

The Snowquel

Yes, I know that is a lame title for a post...I plead insanity after listening to WTOP and watching Fox 5 for all of these days. Seriously, "Storm Team Coverage" is actually driving me crazy! Thank goodness we restocked our supply of videos. On the docket for today includes...

The Beauty Academy of Kabul. Sounds like an interesting documentary.

Paranormal Activity. The question is whether I can convince anyone else to watch a horror movie.

And then there are plenty more episodes of The Office. We are up to Season 4, where Ryan the temp has come back to Scranton as the new boss, with his vision for taking Dunder Mifflin into the future with technology. Plus, Jim and Pam are now officially a couple. Finally!

Bring It On!

We're re-stocked and ready for action.

Another storm is set to hit tomorrow afternoon, so we ventured out once again (first time in the car after the weekend "Storm of the Century") for all the necessities...Season 3 of The Office, Pepsi, Peach Tea, Bisquick, bacon, mini peanut butter cups, brussels sprouts...oh yeah, and milk. School is already closed for tomorrow (great call by our fearless Director of Public Information), so it's time to sit back and watch.

One of our favorite neighbors, and matriarch of our street, Mrs. W, said that she thinks this weather is God's way of calming everyone down. I like that thought and so, despite all the complaints lodged by local media, we will continue to enjoy the beauty of this unexpected gift of family time on one of the prettiest backdrops ever seen in these parts. Great company, great food, and great times.

So bring on the calm...before, during, and after the storm!

The View From Inside

Even though we have not left the house, that doesn't mean we haven't been busy...If "busy" is watching movies (District 9 is one of the more unique sci-fi movies we've seen lately) and chowing down on all of the product Desi and Julie brought back the other night. As you can see, we haven't gotten around to digging out yet...Nor taking the trash out!

Snowmageddon: The Storm

Here is what things looked like on Matey Road during the storm yesterday. How do things look like elsewhere in Silver Spring and the DC area? We have no idea! We'll let you know if we ever get off the block! (Not that we're in a rush!)
