Kudos To Sally Nuamah

Sally Nuamah is a senior at GW who I have taught in class and who I now serve as a faculty advisor. This year, for the first time ever, the university has awarded research grants ($10,000!) to undergraduates to carry out research projects, and Sally is, happily, one of the three students who won the competition. Come November, Sally will head to Ghana for two months to investigate the determinants of academic success of girls who come from underprivileged backgrounds. I'm looking forward to seeing what she finds out!

In the meantime, the Hatchet, GW's student newspaper, has run a nice story about Sally and the other two winners. Click here to check it out!
